Tammy Quinn (Vimala) began her practice of Yoga in 2008 and immediately fell in love. It was not long before she realized that Yoga was much more than physical exercise. Her passion for Yoga led her to take the 200 hour “Life of a Yogi” teacher training with Sri Dharma Mittra in 2011. Tammy began visiting Ananda Ashram in 2013 in effort to continue her study of Asana, Yoga Vedanta Philosphy and Meditation; she has since become a full time resident at the Ashram. Her goal as a teacher is to inspire and guide students along in their own personal practice. Her style of teaching is a classic approach, incorporating Asana, Pranayama (breathing techniques) and the basic principles of Yoga.
