Each weekend will also feature select Sanskrit mantras that evoke shantih (peace) and shivam (tranquility) to elevate our practice and our teaching.

20 CE hours for each module | $275 per module or $750 for all three with David, Nikki and Shri Radha

The Roots of Yoga & Meditation with Shri Radha | July 13-15

We will trace the historical roots of yoga through the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras to identify the fruit the ancient sages held as their final aim and the methods they recommended to attain it. A primary focus will be dharana, dhyana and samadhi, the last three limbs of yoga, supported by guided and silent meditations and exercises.

The Sacred Syllable OM with Shri Radha  | Aug 31-Sep 2

This weekend we will dive deep into an exploration of the mystic syllable OM with special consideration of the Mandukya Upanishad and reference to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sankhya philosophy and the five koshas. Sanskrit chanting, periods of silence and meditation will invite us inward to experience the eternal sound current, OM, directly.

11 CE hours for each weekend $155 per weekend or $281 for both with Shri Radha

Yoga finds itself in a unique position today. The teachings of classical yoga offer a peaceful, purposeful counterpose to the current social atmosphere. Yet while the physical practice (asana) is very popular, often much of the richness and profound insight has been lost.

Roots Illumined training offers a space for teachers and students of all levels to experience yoga's vedic roots and rituals and to refine practical tools for creating more effective and meaningful classes. This series will inform and illumine our practice with creative sequencing, alignment cues for all types of bodies, advanced hands-on assists, mystical mantras, practical philosophy and sacred teacher-to-student traditions. We will evoke a spark that will vitalize our own practice and galvanize the tools to share that light with others.
