Billy shares interactive yogic techniques that help shift emotions to a happy, healthy spring vision. Karen integrates ayurvedic principles for the body through mini-practices addressing each dosha type, to get the body ready for a satvic spring. Liz offers a mindfulness meditation practice for the spirit body, allowing students to deeply connect with their breath. She also guides communication exercises to help create new useful habits appropriate to a yogi’s choice.
Karen Cole is a certified 500-hour RYT yoga teacher from Sacred Sounds Yoga, NYC. She is also a certified health coach from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. She has recently completed certifications in Yin and Restorative Yoga, meditation and Yoga Nidra. Her recent 300-hour teacher training included studies of Ayurveda, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Sanskrit and anatomy. Karen's goal is to create well-balanced classes that guide students towards an appreciation of themselves and an awareness of their fullest potential. Karen is a native New Yorker, an avid runner and also enjoys sewing and photography.
Billy Gopeesingh is inspired to share his yogic practice and the secrets of yoga to promote healing, self-care and transformation. Yoga and meditation practices have been part of his life since early childhood. His approach is from a wellness and healing perspective, which enhances balance in his personal and his working life as a legal professional. In addition to family training and level 3 Reiki, Billy graduated from several yoga and holistic certification programs, such as those offered at The Interdependence Project, Laughing Lotus, Three Jewels Buddhist Center and Omega Institute.
Liz Gluckstern is a certified RYT200 yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, meditator, world traveler and wellness enthusiast. She utilizes mindfulness tools to balance her spiritual side with her corporate luxury retail job in New York City. Liz teaches Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga classes and has also completed a Compassion Cultivation training and a Mindfulness at Work course. She volunteers with multiple non-profit organizations. Liz believes that everyone can cultivate mental stillness and calm by practicing meditation and using sound to enhance the positive vibrations in the body.
