Rooted in the living tradition of Yoga Vedanta and grounded in traditional Ashtanga yoga sequences, this training develops the capacity to teach with clarity, steadiness, and authenticity—adapting practice intelligently for all levels, bodies, and stages of life.

Program Structure
The foundation of the Ananda Ashram training is a two-week immersion experience, followed by integration and mentorship.
The Immersion Experience
August 7 - August 21, 2026
The two-week immersion offers the simplicity and discipline of ashram living. Your days are structured yet spacious, and balance focused study with time for reflection. Each day includes:
Morning asana and meditation
Philosophy and Sanskrit study
Anatomy and teaching labs
Special evening programs
You will be supported by nourishing vegetarian meals, a natural daily rhythm and a focused, distraction-free environment.

Integration & Mentorship
August 22 - October 17, 2026
After the immersion, the training continues with structured support to help you grow into your role as a teacher. This phase includes:
5 Online evening sessions (2 hrs. every Thursday evening from 9/6-10/8)
3 Saturday intensives (in-person or online, 9/19,10/3 and 10/17)
Practice teaching
Assignments & Final Teaching Assessment
Graduation on October 17th
This period is designed to help you integrate what you’ve learned, refine your voice, and build confidence as a teacher.

The Directors of the Ananda Ashram Teacher Training, David Hollander & Christina (Kika) Wypijewska, together with other Ananda Ashram teachers, bring decades of dedicated practice and experience training other teachers.
David Hollander, ERYT500 YACEP
David’s teaching is rooted in decades of Ashtanga, refined into an intelligent, adaptable vinyasa system built for real bodies and long-term practice. He has trained hundreds of teachers and specializes in translating deep tradition into something precise, sustainable, and alive.
Christina (Kika) Wypijewska, ERYT500 YACEP
Kika’s heart-centered approach to teaching is grounded in awareness, integration and the inner experience of yoga. Blending ancient techniques with a modern, inclusive approach, she weaves, breath, sound and movement into practices that are embodied, intuitive and deeply restorative.
